We cover the dirt floor with polyethylene sheets and a polyester mesh for reinforcement. This 12 mil plastic guard covering prevents moisture from leeching up from the ground. 
   
  After a foundation expert finishes seal the walls, the polyethylene sheets and polyester mesh floor are sealed to them with waterproof, foundation tape.
